8:30 a.m. – Sent out an email that read: “Hello teams, I just wanted to send out a reminder that I will not be in the office Friday Oct. 12. My best friend is getting married!”
5:30 p.m. – Left work to begin the drive back to Indiana
7:30 p.m. – Arrived home to a surprise from my wonderful parents – Panda Express for dinner!
10 p.m. – Fell asleep in my old room. Nothing better than a great night sleep in the comfort of your own home
7 a.m. – Doctors appointment in South Bend, IN
8 a.m. – Hour and a half drive to Valparaiso, IN to meet the bridal party at the reception hall to decorate
9:30 a.m. – Strung lights on the head table, organized name tags (in beautiful silver trays with green jelly beans) about 10 times because we don’t know the alphabet apparently and the boys so elegantly sprinkled diamonds on each table (we gave them the manliest job possible)
12 p.m. – The girls headed to the florist to see the absolutely amazing bouquets they had for us. Oh yea, we pretty much cried . . . at flowers.
1 p.m. – Ate lunch at one of our favorite “restaurants” – Wendy’s
1:30 p.m. – Went to our marvelous bridal suite where we blew up air mattresses, did our nails, gossiped, and got ready for the rehearsal/dinner
3:00 p.m. – Everyone met at the beautiful Ogden Gardens where we went through the routine for tomorrow’s big day (whether it was from Nick [best man] making me laugh or my heals getting stuck in the bricks, I almost feel on my face quite a few times – cross your fingers I make it down the aisle tomorrow in one piece)
5:00 p.m. – Dinner at Pesto’s
10:00 p.m. – We are all tucked in and anxiously trying to fall asleep in anticipation for tomorrow. (This is also difficult with 6 girls – 1 room – 2-3 people per bed – who are giddy with excitement)
